Q. What should I do if I would like to hire a treadmill from Byrne’s?
A. Just call 9548 2063. We have different models – Walkers, Walker/Joggers, Runners and Deluxe Runners. If the treadmill you require is in stock, we will organise delivery at a convenient time to suit you. (Click on the Treadmills link at the top of this page for models and prices).
Q. How long do I have to hire for?
A. Three months is the minimum hire period. Then you may hire on a monthly or three-monthly basis at a discounted rate.
Q. Do I get the money I paid for hiring a treadmill off the purchase price of a new one?
A. Yes. If purchased within the first month of hire. (Click on the Information link at the top of this page for our Hire/Buy Options).
Q. Can I pay for the hire treadmill in installments?
A. No. Sorry, full payment is required on delivery of your hire treadmill. We accept most major credit cards and cheques.
Q. Will I need to assemble the treadmill I hire?
A. No, all of the treadmills are delivered ready to go. All you need to do is plug it in and turn it on. Your delivery driver will set up the treadmill and spend as much time needed to explain the functions. He will also leave an instruction booklet for you.
Q. Is there a delivery charge for my hired treadmill?
A. We deliver throughout the Sydney and Wollongong metropolitan areas. We do charge a $40.00 delivery fee in some areas. This fee includes the collection of the treadmill as well.
Q. Can I collect the treadmill?
A. No. Sorry, we do not have a retail outlet but we will endeavour to deliver at time that is convenient to you.
Q. What time of the day will my treadmill be delivered?
A. We normally deliver and collect between 4pm and 10pm weeknights and throughout the weekend. If these times are unsuitable, other times can be arranged.
Q. What happens when the treadmill is due for return?
A. When your three-month’s contract is up, we will ring you a few days prior to the due time to arrange collection of the treadmill. We will also give you the option to keep hiring at a discounted rate or you might like to buy the treadmill, also at a discounted rate.
Q. How old is the treadmill I will be hiring?
A. All of our treadmills are either new or in near new condition as we constantly update and properly maintain the fleet.
Q. Do I have to sign a contract to hire the treadmill?
A. Yes a three-month hire agreement must be signed on delivery of the treadmill. Terms & Conditions of Hire
Q. What if I do not want to keep the treadmill for the three-month period or I am going away on holidays before the hire time is complete?
A. Just call the office and we will arrange to collect the treadmill at a time that suits you. Please note: As per our hire agreement, no refund will be given for early returns.
Q. What if I have a problem operating the treadmill during the hire time?
A. We will give you a trouble-shooting guide to refer to or you can ring us for help. Most often the operational problems are minor and can be rectified over the phone. If the problem cannot be solved over the phone, we will arrange a suitable time asap to repair or replace the treadmill if it is faulty. If the treadmill is faulty, we will compensate with extra hire time.
Q. What happens if I damage the treadmill whilst on hire?
A. Apart from any normal wear and tear, you will be liable for any damage caused to the treadmill, whether it is accidental or not. If the treadmill is stolen or is damaged in a fire, your home contents insurance should cover the costs.
